The acting is very good, as you would expect with this cast. However, the three star rating only applies if you can swallow and get past the "ick" factor. I mean, Jason Bateman's character plays a self-absorbed hypochondriac who strings Jennifer Anniston's character along for thirteen years, but still manages to cheat her out of a chance for a reasonable relationship, and the cheat comes at the very last minute, and publicly in front of friends and family, and in a humiliating way. The acting carries this far-fetched storyline along and we actually are made to care about Jason and Jennifer. But just think about the message. Wow.

The casting was great and the humor pretty good also, but the suspension of this belief it requires to have for it predicted Rom-Com ending is too far, making it only a mediocre film.
