Talk to Her, 2002

This film is a work of art. It is about loneliness, separation, friendships and commitment. It raises many issues and touches them very delicately, with silk gloves. Aside from the story, the movie is beautiful to the eye. If you mute the sound, you can still appreciate the delicate camera work and the beautiful colors. It is like a collection of superb photographs. If you only turn on the sound, the score will move you so much. And finally, this movie is funny at times. The little silent film is hillarious (and has a point too). In sum, this movie is smart, touching, funny and sad. It will make you think.

I can't quite pin down what I love so much about this movie. There's something in its atmosphere that's just enchanting. the characters are so well-developed, you really sympathize with them. I think I saw it 4 years ago and I still remember it so well. I guess that's how u know a movie is really great. It's very genuine and full of Almodovar's unique gestures. Very good indeed.
