The mood of Super 8 is sentimental, scary, and suspenseful. The plot centers around deadly creatures, young heroes, and friends. It is a sci-fi, thriller, and adventure movie. Summary of Super 8

In 1979 Ohio, several youngsters (Elle Fanning, Joel Courtney, Gabriel Basso) are making a zombie movie with a Super-8 camera. In the midst of filming, the friends witness a horrifying train derailment and are lucky to escape with their lives. They soon discover that the catastrophe was no accident, as a series of unexplained events and disappearances soon follows. Deputy Jackson Lamb (Kyle Chandler), the father of one of the kids, searches for the terrifying truth behind the crash.

Stand by Me meets Cloverfield

And both of the above mentioned titles are better... J.J., what is it with the extra kitsch? and especially the ridiculous ending (just the boy's necklace is drawn out of his pocket to the water tower, all other metals are kept in place?).... Read and rate it

Quality

wasn't too sure what to make of this before seeing it. Maybe it would be a bit too "scary" or maybe too "family orientated" and end up being just too sentimental. However when I watched it I was pleasantly suprised to find that it was both... Read and rate it
