One of my favorites
I can honestly say that this is one of my favorite movies ever. Not only is the fantasy plot clever and engaging - every single one of the star-studded cast delivers 100% I especially loved Michelle Pfeiffer's character and was thrilled to see her return to the screen. I would highly recommend this movie to anyone who is looking for a lighthearted adventure story.

It's fun to see Michelle Pfeiffer as the villain once in a while. I thought it was a fun movie overall, despite a brazen lack of character. Pretty much all medieval theme of unicorns, witches, princes, young peasant boy in love beyond his caste....

It's fun to see Michelle Pfeiffer as the villain once in a while. I thought it was a fun movie overall, despite a brazen lack of character. Pretty much all medieval theme of unicorns, witches, princes, young peasant boy in love beyond his caste. Great cast, and ironic humor liberally applied. Glad I watched it, but wouldn't watch it again.

"A star can't shine through a broken heart"...seriously, they say that in the movie. Also Michelle Pfeiffer drives a cart pulled by goats and there's a unicorn battle. If that's not enough to inspire you to see it, something is sincerely wrong.

This movie is fantastic, plain and simple. I rented it once, then rented it twice more. I NEVER re-rent movies, at least not that soon.
Yes, this movie is a more modern epic fairy tale than the "Princess Bride", but it's also much more than that....

Yes, this movie is a more modern epic fairy tale than the "Princess Bride", but it's also much more than that. The acting, cinematography, script, cameos, CGI, were all near-perfect.
I think that very few people that watch this movie will be disappointed, sadly though, too many people that will LOVE this movie will never hear about it. How did I not hear more about this when it was released?!?
There is little to be disliked about this movie. Put it in your queue, now. You will love it.

I fell in love with the story and cast. Michelle Pfeiffer, a stellar witch and Robert DeNiro the omnious pirate nearly steal the movie but not quite... not with the quest of true love in the center. Hard to upstage any charm to that. Stardust is one I'll definitely have in my collection to be enchanted over future viewings.

Not a bad saccharine fantasy flick for those into that sort of thing. Robert DeNiro as the "whoopsy" Captain Shakespeare was great as was Michelle Pfeiffer. Claire Danes, not so much. Great special effects and excellent visuals and the ghost princes...

Not a bad saccharine fantasy flick for those into that sort of thing. Robert DeNiro as the "whoopsy" Captain Shakespeare was great as was Michelle Pfeiffer. Claire Danes, not so much. Great special effects and excellent visuals and the ghost princes were a nice touch that added some needed moments of levity. The story itself was nothing terribly unusual; it's the same stuff of fairy tales that have given us "Star Wars" and "Cinderella," so it's hard to say if anything was borrowed from those stories or if this one is just in the same vein. It's a bit too earnest, a bit too sweet and extremely formulaic, but "Stardust" mostly works. Maybe a shade darker than "Snow White" in spots (seven ghostly brothers, seven dwarves... basic fairy tale numerology), but not by much. The kids will like this one.

It's been a very long time since I was able to walk out of a movie theater with a big grin on my face, totally pleased with what I had just seen. Stardust is one of those rare movies where everything, the plot, the actors, the effects...everything...

As I am not a big fantasy movie fan I had some reservations when deciding to watch "Stardust". However, I was pleasantly suprised in this movie. The acting, special effects, humor, and story were all very good. This movie is a love story in the end, as many movies similar to this are but the fantasy and adventure that it takes to get to that point is very entertaining.
