Oh My God Generally, I am way too generous in my views of many films. I seek out the good in even the biggest steaming piles.
The Clone Wars? Ugh.
Boring to the tenth degree.
Neither the droids or the clone warriors seem to be able to hit anything...

Oh My God Generally, I am way too generous in my views of many films. I seek out the good in even the biggest steaming piles.
The Clone Wars? Ugh.
Boring to the tenth degree.
Neither the droids or the clone warriors seem to be able to hit anything 85% of the time, and when they do there is virtually no effect on the overall battle.
If I never see another one of the armed robots roll up and open its shield and begin firing, I'll be happy.
Why do the droids need to speak?? And when they do speak why are they as dumb as any human??
The "look" of the film was stiff and cheap looking.
The voice acting was fine (except Yoda), but the words were painful. Sky Guy Ugh.
Just dishearteningly bland "product". I felt the same way I felt after I saw Steve Martin's "Pink Panther" film. A disappointment beyond even what I was expecting. It felt awful.
It may be worse than the Battle for Endor or the Star Wars Christmas Special.

The critics can say what they will. This movie, although animated, lives up to the quality that Lucas is known for. It is made spot-on, excellent music, the best computer animation I've seen so far, and a full movie length plot to boot! This could have easily been a waste of space in the hands of anyone by the master himself, Lucas. Think about it. Star Wars is his. THX is his. Home Theater and consumer electronics manufacturers seek his approval and endorsement like so many new puppies. This is animation production as good as can possibly be as of 2008. The soundtrack by Kevin Kiner and the City Of Prague Philharmonic orchestra breathes fresh air all over the themes and nuances of what we've all become overly used to in the 6 live action films that have come before. Well done George, keep it up, no matter what they say about your work. You are doing excellent art here, true to your vision and with a respectful nod to the fans, young and old, who put you where you are today.

Initially, I was completely disgusted by this movie. As a rabid fan of Star Wars, I always set a high bar of expectation and hope based on a return to the more down to earth and epic values of the original movies. Sadly, this is another disappointment in a long string of disappointing additions to the Star Wars saga. Story elements do not mesh with the rest of the series. The Jedi continue to pull out new powers and abilities never seen before. There is a trend to add more effects, more sound, more attitude, and more relevance to young kids with every additional installment to the series. This movie is another step in the wrong direction.
