Spider-man was always a doomed franchise, from the fact that the person they used, Jake Gyllenhaal, to put pressure on Tobey Maguire thus getting to make more Spider-man's for less money, was a better choice than him is a sign. Kirsten Dunst aka Snaggletooth has always been bad to decent actress with rare spurts like crazy/beautiful.
This film however is the lesser of the three evils. For a while, I worked hard to cement the idea that the 2nd one was a great film, but the third only highlighted everything in the 2nd one that immediately made my stomach turn. But alas, this film has the best villain of the three, the "best" acting by Tobey and Kirsten, albeit James Franco and Rosemary Harris have been consistent in all 3.
This film has the worst cg, but the best plot. To me, at the end of the day, the effectiveness of cg isn't its believability, because in this day and age we're all smart enough to know cg is fake and made by computers. This film succeeds, because of how much the plot makes you [want] to believe the cg.

This is a very nice film that brings to life the famous Spiderman comics. Although I wouldn't say Tobey Maguire is the perfect choice for the role of a superhero, this is still very enjoyable. I must say that the SFX are very entertaining. Lots of...

A very nice action fantasy.
This is a very nice film that brings to life the famous Spiderman comics. Although I wouldn't say Tobey Maguire is the perfect choice for the role of a superhero, this is still very enjoyable. I must say that the SFX are very entertaining. Lots of action, some humorous parts and even a bit of romance - all these make it a film with something for everyone.

Tobey Maguire in a great performance
A nice movie based on a comic book about a teenager (Peter) who gets bitten by a special spider and gains spider powers. There is a lot of action and the effects are great. Peter finds himself fighting ordinary crimes, fighting against a green goblin... and he even has the time to deal with his unfulfilled love. A good fantasy that everybody can enjoy.
