Summary of Special Forces
In Afghanistan a renowned journalist, Elsa Casanova (Diane Kruger), is ambushed and kidnapped. Her captors kill her attendant immediately and take her to a hiding place and, in order to make their point, announce their intent to put her to death. Her only chance is a rescue by a special forces team. After the unit has managed to rescue her, they have to take a route which leads through one of Pakistan's tribal-ruled areas. Once the local population encounter the heavily armed foreign soldiers, the planned escape rapidly derails. Elsa and her saviours have to run, their situation exacerbated when their new fight is brought to the attention of Elsa's kidnappers who also join the chase.
