I was going into this movie expecting to be amazed and to laugh throughout and I wasn't disappointed! Shrek 2 delivers the laughs time and again.
Mike Myers stars as Shrek, an ogre with an anger problem. Continuing on the premise of the first Shrek, Shrek and Princess Fiona (played by Cameron Diaz) travel with Donkey (Eddie Murphy) to meet Fiona's parents, the king and queen (Julie Andrews) of Far, Far, away. Look for spoofs of various stores including Starbucks and Old Navy in Far, Far, Away. Shrek and Donkey are then sent off on another adventure where they meet Puss-in-boots (played by Antonio Banderas).
This movie delivers laughs time and again. They make fun of everything you can think of and make it hilarious everytime. Myers, Diaz, and Murphy perform well like they did in the last movie, but Banderas's character, Puss-in-boots, steals the show. Puss is one of the funniest cartoon characters that I have seen in a movie and Banderas was perfectly cast.
I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this movie, I was impressed from start to finish.
There are a few jokes that are a little over the heads of alot of childrens including an unnecessary joke about cross-dressing. Other then that, this movie is clean.
The Shrek series has never failed to impress. Aside from the one cross-dressing joke, this movie is a must-see for the whole family.

As with the original Shrek, the idea here is more impressive than the results. DreamWorks character animation is still reminiscent of the affected movements in video games. But more important than disappointing technology, the pervasive references to sexuality and mocking attitudes towards gender identity (with homosexual stereotypes and jabs at transgendered persons)—and the horrible music!—will keep the Shrek films off my children's viewing list. I'll stick to Pixar.

Not Half As Good As the First
I'd prefer to watch the first flick twice than watch this one once.
