10/10Must See
Seeing this in IMAX made you feel as though you were onstage with the Mic and Keith. I'm sure on DVD it will seem like you are in the front row. It's very similar to Scorsese's previous concert films, "Woodstock", in which he edited and "The Last Waltz", which he directed. The changes in cameras and camera angles go along with the measures of the music being played. Sometimes it's 1 measure, sometimes 4, sometimes 8....mostly a mix of many. If you like the Rolling Stones, I am sure you will like this film.

8/10Great
"Shine A Light" is one of, perhaps THE, best performance movies you'll see. There's a minimum of documentary clips (and the few chosen are good and short) and a maximum of The Rolling Stones live at the smallish Beacon Theater in NYC, sounding as good as they ever have. Visuals and sound are just great. The featurette contains additional songs performed casually in warm-up and rehearsal. The few guest turns are also excellent, especially Buddy Guy. This is a great video even if you normally are bored by performance videos.
