Sherlock Holmes, 2010

First off, it's getting 4-stars to help balance out some of the 1s. Now... Look at that cover. It says "Sherlock Holmes" and has a giant squid, a dinosaur and a dragon on the cover. How could I not watch it as my sick kid slept on me? I was pretty impressed given the fact that the first line of the description says it's a "low-budget" affair. The CGI was awful, but I'd say the sets, acting and cinematography were better than some of the slop that Hollywood puts out these days. The script and story were ridiculous, but what do you expect with that cover? Far more watchable than a lot of made-for-TV or direct-to-video movies. It was a decent way to kill 90 minutes. I'd actually be interested in seeing the making-of (I streamed it on my PS3).
