Summary of SharkMan
Director Michael Oblowitz's HAMMERHEAD is a horror movie reminiscent of Renny Harlin's DEEP BLUE SEA and Peter Benchley's THE BEAST. Here, a scientist creates a monster after undertaking some stem cell research. Believing that fusing the bodies of a human being and a hammerhead shark will aid his studies, the megalomaniac doctor instead creates a killing machine that possesses the vicious nature of a shark and the intelligence of a human being. The doctor sets one of his creations loose, aiming to kill the scientists who are trying to stop his dastardly experiments. Bloody mayhem breaks out and a sizeable body count builds up as the film nears its climax. Horror fans will be delighted to find genre favorite Jeffrey Combs (RE-ANIMATOR) fitting into a familiar role as the insane doctor who invents the shark/human hybrid.
