Profile of Senseless

Senseless can be described as humorous and offbeat. The plot revolves around college life, a goofy hero, and an experiment gone awry. Its comic aspect comes from grossout humor and irreverent humor. Senseless's main genres are comedy and fantasy. In terms of style, it is experimental. In approach, it is not serious. Senseless is well suited for a date night and teens.

Summary of Senseless

Business student Darryl Witherspoon escapes the 'hood but finds a glass ceiling barring him from an elite brokerage firm's recruitment contest, an opportunity that would free him from an endless cycle of odd jobs. But just as the contest heats up, Darryl signs on for his strangest job yet--as a test subject for an experimental drug that heightens the senses to superhuman proportions. Will the drug give Darryl the competitive edge? Or will it wear off, leaving him a stumbling, drooling mess?

Critics Reviews

Entertainment Weekly
Her setups here are so witless and pedestrian that there's no imagination to the crude slapstick punchlines; we're just watching a bland jester pantomime sensory overload.
The New York Times
The gags, like the plotting, have a giddy edge that can be sharp, but just as often they go nowhere.
