Searching for Debra Winger, 2002

It's true, that Rosanna's hippie spirit is often a little too much and she will detract from the flow of an interview rather than add to it. It's also true that a good editor could have made this at least a 1/2 hour shorter. That being said, if you're actor yourself regardless of your gender you'll find a lot to chew on. All of these women have "careers" in some sense of the word and yet it is still a heartbreaking profession. But still you continue to chase down or like Debra Winger you retreat for a while. But Debra Winger was in the unique position of being one of the highest regarded actors of her generation. So in some ways once you've reached the "heights" it's easier to step away for a minute. What would be interesting is to contrast this documentary with women who are just starting their acting careers. Booked their first commerical or just stepped on their community theatre stage for the first time. Does anyone want to give me the money to shoot that idea?
