Billy Bob Thornton is the only redeemable thing about this movie. The plot is ridiculous, not to mention that its just a lame rehashing of the plot from Anger Management. Jon Heders performance in this movie is just another example of the fact that Heder has no place in film outside of Napoleon Dynamite. Sarah Silverman goes with her usual unlikeable jerk character facade thats way past due. The love interest of Jon Heder, Jacinda Barretts character, is also far too saccharine and has no place in the context of the film. Michael Clarke Duncan shouldnt have agreed to do this film because its so beneath him. The writing is on par with your typical mediocre comedy. Todd Phillips does a passable job that could have been done by anyone in the comedy genre. As I said earlier, one of the only entertaining things about this movie is watching Billy Bob Thornton do his usual thing and insult people beyond all redemption. Not the worst choice of movies you could watch, but its far from hilarious and nowhere near being a good film.

4/10Disappointing
For some reason this movie feels like it's a rehash of a bunch of other "wimp turns winner" themes, and unfortunately this one is thin on everything. The movie starts off shaky and then gets funny as Thornton enters the picture. However there's so much filler that it totally loses its speed and becomes boring. The tennis match scene is the high point, and then from that point on it's a downhill ride as the humor is gone and the story falls apart. Ben Stiller isn't very funny either in a complete throw-away role. Even the outtakes on the DVD aren't that funny.

Pretty standard Billy Bob fare nowadays. He's a crass but worldly bully; we've seen it before but it's still entertaining. Heder is surprisingly versatile and fun to watch.
