Like the first two installments Saw and Saw II, this one fills the bill quite nicely in that the story continues filling in the motivations, and fleshing (literally) out unfinished plots from the first two. While I still believe the genre to be more psychological horror then true gore, the movies have been quite enjoyable and worth recommending to those who are not too squeamish by nature. These are definitely good flicks to watch, if you can rent all four at once, and have a blast over a cold dreary weekend.

The franchise hasn't yet lost all it's steam. There are some mind-boggling contraptions and games in this one, and moments where I hid my face. Unlike some of the torture porn being manufactired today, the squirm moments in the Saw films are still...

The franchise hasn't yet lost all it's steam. There are some mind-boggling contraptions and games in this one, and moments where I hid my face. Unlike some of the torture porn being manufactired today, the squirm moments in the Saw films are still earned...but only barely. This premise is getting paper thin. There are moments in this movie where I had to step back out of the film and question the real-world validity of what was happening. This break in suspension of disbelief is not good in a straight-forward (non-supernatural) horror film. I fear the next Saw film will finally cross the line.

liked it....!
I did a Saw marathon with a friend and watched all four. We thought it would get a bit boring but it didn't. The third movie continues the greatness of the other two. Like the others it happens mostly indoors. It involves a serial killer - of course...

I did a Saw marathon with a friend and watched all four. We thought it would get a bit boring but it didn't. The third movie continues the greatness of the other two. Like the others it happens mostly indoors. It involves a serial killer - of course - and a race against time. A lot of deadly "games" and quite psychological. An excellent sequel horror movie - and if you watch the fourth you'll understand it even better. My friend and I enjoyed this suspenseful movie.
