This was pretty funny. Much better that Hot Fuzz but not quite as good as Shaun of the Dead. Nontheless, this movie has a lot of laughs and has a nice short running time.

I wasn't really expecting much, reviews were so-so and let's face it the plot doesn't make it seem like it will be great. But, I enjoyed this movie a lot. Pegg is likeable and funny, sure the movie has jokes that get old, silly dialogue at times and isn't brilliant. But it's a warm, funny film that is a great way to spend an evening. Hilarious parts, with a great casting and a happy ending. Rent it and enjoy it, it's worth a try.

Another romantic comedy following all the usual paths. Loser guy, sexy woman, etc. And they pull it off. Sure, you know what's going to happen but everyone is wonderfully charming and appealing.

Although this was not Simon Pegg's best, it was still a very original and fun movie, which is what Simon does best! A man (Dennis, played by Simon Pegg), who left his pregnant fiancé at the altar, finds out he wants her back so they can be a family with their son. But, of course, there is a catch! Witt (Hank Azaria) enters the picture as Libby's do-gooder boyfriend, and just when Dennis thought he didn't have a chance, Libby challenges him to run in the next London marathon, and Dennis thinks that might get her to come back to him. Simon Pegg was great, Hank Azaria was outstanding in his role and Dylan Moran (Shaun of the Dead) is hilarious once again! This is a great film about perseverance and will have you laughing the whole time through! 4.5 stars. 12/30/08
