Though made in Mexico, "RUDO Y CURSO" will seem very familiar to Americans -- because it's so much a "Hollywood" movie: thin characters, improbable plotting, and no surprises whatsoever. The story concerns two dirt-poor brothers who are catapulted...
The synopsis will tell you that it centers on the adventures of two country brothers trying to make it in the big city, but it's really more than the typical Mexican telenovela "rags-to-riches" parable. It works as a "sports as life" movie, it works...
