Dirty Funny
Hilarious. A foul and dirty comedy not for the overly sensitive. It has a mature comedic tone, not meant for children. Paul Rudd and Seann William Scott pull thru and deliver another amazing movie full of laughs, and fond memories.

Bobb'e J. Thompson steals the show as a foul-mouthed and dirty-minded brat in this raunchy comedic vehicle for Paul Rudd and Seann William Scott. If you can't stomach age-inappropriate language and situations along with a healthy dose of sarcasm, this movie is not for you. If, on the other hand, you don't have a problem with those kind of things, this is a generally funny story with some truly hilarious moments. And, strangely, it manages to be rather sweet and addresses the value of friendship. [Unrated version]

Role Models is a good comedy. From the trailers I thought this would be a predictable story about 2 man-children who finally are forced to grow up when they have to take care of some troubled youth. It turned out it was a predictable story, but it has some great dialogue and a genuine sweetness I didn't expect. Sean William Scott is incredibly funny while swapping lines with Rudd and Jane Lynch. Rudd's portrayal of the 30 something who sits in the corner making snarky comments about everyone seemed over the top towards the beginning, but put along side Scott's innocent attitude it wound up working well. The only problems I had were Elizabeth Banks performance as Rudd's girlfriend and that I didn't get any sense of their relationship or why their break up sends Rudd out of control. But even with those minor nits and the predictable plot, this is an outstanding movie. (1/27/9)

Role Models
A pretty generic movie with some great comedic acting which delivers one of the funniest movies of the year. Sean William Scott proves that he is an actor who can stay funny past his Stifler typecast. He and Paul Rudd make this movie, continually riffing off each other and the rest of the brilliant cast. Christopher 'McLovin' Mintz-Plasse also impresses, and shows, much like Scott, that he isn't just a one trick pony and is a genuinely funny actor.
