I think this is a highly overrated movie. The hero figure lacks intelligence and is not motivated by high moral values. He is a blunt, neanderthal figure fighting for alpha male status.

Definitely a Must-See!
Rocky is one of those rare feel-good movies that we're missing in our movie culture today. Sure we get some happy endings, but next to nothing on the human spirit and how one can triumph in an unforgiving world.

Definitely a Must-See!
Rocky is one of those rare feel-good movies that we're missing in our movie culture today. Sure we get some happy endings, but next to nothing on the human spirit and how one can triumph in an unforgiving world.
Rocky makes everybody believe in themselves. When most watch the movie, they see themselves in the Rocky character. This proves just how relevant this character still is in our culture.

A definite classic.
I was never crazy for seeing Stalone doing drama. But still, the exciting story about an underdog that follows his dream and does so with a big handful of human spirit, couldn't help but sweep me too off my feet.

The classic sports movie of all time
Some remember most of all the scene where Rocky is running up the stairs and in the background you hear the song "The eye of the tiger", some can't shake the famous Rocky shout: Adrian!, everybody has they're favorite Rocky moment because it is an unforgettable movie. The story is inspirational, it's about a guy that came from nothing and got to the top all on his own, with hard work and determination. It's a tale that's been told many times after in an attempt to recreate the huge success of Rocky. The story of an underdog who's following his dream with all his got is a story who's celebrating the human spirit.
