Righteous Kill, 2008

Who doesn't love Deniro and Pacino? Have you really loved them in anything recently though? They have both made some horrible movies in recent years. Adding to that the fact that the director is responsible for the worst of all their films that I can recall: 88 Minutes, needless to say, my expectations were not high. While not horrible and far superior to 88 minutes, Righteous Kill barely reaches mediocrity. It has good acting by the cast as a whole (except for 50 Cent of course), some mildly interesting dialogue, and a very weak storyline. If this would have been a direct to video release starring Tom Selleck and Chuck Norris with cheese piled on top, it could have been hilarious. As it is, this is a B movie taken way too seriously that bored me out of my mind.

Interesting movie with two great actors in a good movie but not a great movie. The plot was decent and I didn't figure out the end and thats allways a good thing.
