Would have been better if Winslet's character was just a little bit sympathetic. But she is portrayed as merely a hateful and depraved egomaniac. The only interest this film has, however, is that no matter how hateful and depraved, the woman was apparently such a good actress that DiCaprio's character couldn't really figure her out until it was too late.

Revolutionary Road, certainly one of Kate Winslets' best. But each one of her films seems to be the best, so right now this is her best, until she makes her next movie, which I'm sure will be her very, very best. If you are a Kate Winslet fan prepare yourself for 2 hours of magnificent acting. Leonardo DiCaprio is equally fantatic as Kate Winslet's husband. This is a film that is a taught drama about the inner turmoil that stirs just beneath the surface of a marriage, or any relationship for that matter. It is excellent. I highly recommend this movie with a rating of 5*****STARS.

That's exactly how I felt after watching this miserable movie. Another example of a terribly written movie based on a great book. Melodramatic and cynical to the point of over kill. I didn't like American Beauty either. I get the dark side of suburbia, but when delivered heavy handed, it seems unbelievable.

Leonardo is my favorite actor, he has so much talent, and I have liked Kate since their debut together in Titanic. But overall I found this movie to be quite boring. Kinda like watching paint dry.
