Quatermass and the Pit, 1967

Plodding British sci-fi movie with large doses of psudeo science Sherlocking and the bureaucratic politics of alien excavation. Awful miniature work late in the film detracts from the overall effect. X-Files, TommyKnockers and others may have drawn inspiration from Quatermass, but they are vastly superior productions. Also, I wondered why wasn't Roonie affected by the aliens? Was he descended purely from non-Martian tampered apes? Bottom line: This movie is only for true enthusiasts of Hammer films.
