Pulp Fiction is one of a strange breed of movies, independent in nature, looks cheaply made but with a fantastic cast including John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Uma Thurman and Bruce Willis. The movie is revolutionary to say the least. The first truly ultra-violent movie sets itself apart in several categories. It's blessed with an excellent script filled with incredible quotes all put together under the mantle of an amazingly cool and unique soundtrack. Of course Travolta dances like in every other movie he's ever done, but this time he actually acts well too. Of special consideration is the complete change of character by Amanda Plummer at the beginning of the movie when she goes from a lovable girl to the craziest criminal in a long time. Really well done.
On a deeper level the movie explores the issues of loyalty and forgiveness through the movie and in the end it also goes into the idea of turning your life around. The movie is unpredictable in just about every instance and is definitely not your typical Hollywood Movie.

Scary at times and funny at times this movie does the genre justice like many of Tarantino's film. I like to call this movie "Sin City" with color. If you have not seen any of Tarantino's films make it this one, And don't forget this movie is not for the faint of heart!
