A hidden gem
I'm glad I got to see this movie, because it's one of the best to come out this year. It's an independent movie that didn't get a lot of buzz, but it was just really funny and heartwarming. It stars Catherine Keener (a frequent collaborator with the director of this movie - Nicole Holofcener), Rebecca Hall (Vicky from Vicky Christina Barcelona), Oliver Platt (you can't avoid liking him) and the beautiful Amanda Peet. I enjoyed this movie a lot, and found it clever, intimate and at times hilarious.

Although this is not my kind of film, the film's sincerity and bittersweetness really bought me. It teaches you kind of a moral lesson that is pretty simplistic, but it does it with amazing character chemistry that you really don't mind.

Heartwarming
The film tells a story of a wealthy woman in New York who starts to realize there are people less fortunate. The film hits the spots with the right sincerity. It has a mother-daughter relationship that would make any parent relate and it has some offbeat quirkiness that would make anyone feel good. The main characters really opens up to us and her surrounding but without getting to emotional or gloomy, purely sentimental.
