Useless talent #742: Reviewing Planet Terror on Netf|ix. Robert Rodriguez managed to wring out every drop of over the top action, gore, black humor and absurdity from every zombie apocalypse film ever made and distill it into this thick, rich concentrate of wacky undead insanity. Granted, the jump cuts and missing reel shtick got a bit old, but were it not for that visual imperfection it would be necessary for Netf|ix to move to a six-star rating system to accommodate this one wild movie. Who wouldnt fall in love with Rose McGowans Cherry Darling, the girl with the 50-caliber leg? What other attachments come with it, I wonder? Every fan of zombie horror MUST see this movie ASAP. This one has it all, baby. Stay strong.

Good reviews come in two forms; long over winded analysis or short and to the point. Each has its place depending on the movie. Planet Terror needs only a few words. FRIGGING AWESOME! B-Rate at its finest, brings back fond memories of all night...

Cinema at it's finest. This is great that you can rent this movie and completely avoid the snorefest that is Deathproof. Although I hear you don't get all of the previews on this DVD. This movie is pure entertainment.

Over the top cheese-fest in all the good ways. This half of the Grindhouse double bill was much more fun than the QT film. Graphic, exciting and funny...all in the right proportions. The scratches and "missing reels" all add to the feeling rather...

I never thought I'd ever find a movie which could top Dead Alive... here it is. Zombies, gore, people ingesting body fluids, more zombies, True Love, comedy, helicopters chopping zombies to bits, more gore, random animal violence, and more zombies....

I never thought I'd ever find a movie which could top Dead Alive... here it is. Zombies, gore, people ingesting body fluids, more zombies, True Love, comedy, helicopters chopping zombies to bits, more gore, random animal violence, and more zombies. And the Machete trailer made me pee in my chair - I've never wanted to see a movie so bad!

This cut is inferior to the original cinematic cut. The extra footage added in does not ad anything meaningful other than length. That being said it is still an exhilarating movie. This film is pure homage and if you are not a fan of B grade sci-fi...

If, however, you grew up on "USA Up All Night" and wonder where all those movies went then you are in the right place.

Add a star if you're not yet sick of zombie movies. The action in "Planet Terror" is a blast but you'll need a sense of (sick) humor to enjoy it.
