even tho this film wasnt its best i just didnt care the acting specially from jack sparrow just makes u love it...Barbossa and jacks rival is just even more fun to watch, i was dissapointed by elizabeth and will's storyline sadly i didnt like the...

even tho this film wasnt its best i just didnt care the acting specially from jack sparrow just makes u love it...Barbossa and jacks rival is just even more fun to watch, i was dissapointed by elizabeth and will's storyline sadly i didnt like the way they took it..but the fights,acting,and good writing done within this film can just take u back from anythin and enjoy it..even tho they had afew stupid and pointless scenes which i still wonder wht was the point..its easy to forget about

The most like the theme park ride of any of the 'Pirates' outings -- nonsensical and hard to follow, but enjoyable nonetheless. With a fantabulous Keith Richards cameo.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End dont really have much to offer other than a nice little tale of traders and flip floppers, more so than the 2004 Presidential Election. The witty banter form both Depp and Rush is what really made the movie for me. I enjoyed all of that rather than the stealer fight sequence between the Black Pearl and the Flying Dutchman. At Worlds End has many problems surrounding rather it being a pirate council that we knew nothing about and are confused about the rules. But lucky for us that the ever helpful Keith Richards comes and explains it with his realistic leather worn face that I heard they didnt have to use any make up on. But as our ignorant heroes, Bloom and Knightley, who act as complete idiots for plot sakes, come to save Depp the strike a deal with the treacherous Chow Yun-Fat, whose talent is wasted as his only purpose is to die. Depp is going crazy in Davy Jones Locker seeing double and triple and so on of himself trying to devour a peanut. This seems like they wanted to take a page from Depps other movie Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with all the Oompa-loompas. The movie really drags here as they try to be funny but fail on an intellectual level, but all the kids were giggling. Sparrow seemed to be too nice in this movie, the reason that his character is so enthralling is because he is a bad person just like Rush or Bill Nighy, always looking out for himself but somehow fighting the same forces the heroes are. But at first he corrects Bloom and Knightley, who have crashed their ship trying to save him, as to who really needs to be rescued, since he does have the Black Pearl. It makes me happy to see Bill Nighy do one of the most unspeakable acts in the movie to make him truly menacing.

Okay I'm prepared to get blasted for this review. Most people love the characters so will be happy to see them back in this movie and thus give a postive review in a moment. I too love the characters, and they have so much potential that I'm disappointed in this movie that so little is done with them. The story is a mess and so much is put into it that you really want more from any of them but are left with little. You're given a taste of Calypso but in the end she turns into a storm. Davey Jones is so cool looking and sounding and in this movie he talks a lot and then has an absurd sword battle at the end. I can go on and on, but for me it was too many elements all going nowhere. Then throw in the scenes where it's supposed to be funny like the multiple Jack Sparrows talking to each other (ala Army of Darkness) and repeat it multiple times and you're exhausted from it. Maybe the theatrical release had less of these than this DVD but it all culminated in the waaaaaay overlong ending battle scene and sword fights and kissing in the middle of it. I wanted to punch myself in my head. Great special effects though.

I was not a fan of the first Pirates but was surprised to enjoy the second one. I give this film 2 1/2 stars and somewhat enjoyed it but overall it once again when for the pre-teen demo. Amazing looking scenes don't make a great film ( look at the Transformer movie) and this film had it's moments and it's worth a rental but while I kept my expectations low this film sill dissapointed and while the ending had a great fight scenes it could not still save this film. Why the trilogy had to clock in at over 2 1/2 hours each film is beyond me. Lord of the Rings did in fact need to be long but this trilogy? Wait for the end credits for a little something extra and I'm not saying this is an awful film since many enjoyed it but this could have been a fantastic finale but while it was darker at times it went back to it's Disney flavored family film it was always meant to be.

I hope this is the end of the Pirates series, because from movie to movie, things simply get more confusing and convoluted. No one could possibly follow the story in At World's End. It's bad enough you have to watch with subtitles on, what with the mumbling and made-up pirate language, but then you have a thoroughly meaningless plot to go along with it. While the action scenes are beautiful, they cannot make up for the length of the movie. The movie had no need to be so long, and if they were going for "epic", well, they fell short. While the cast is great, I think we're all 'over' Pirates now. This third installment was very boring, and awfully disappointing.

Pirates of the Caribbean is a masterpiece that only a genius could have thought of. The mosaic of cultures, traditions not to mention costumes that could have fooled a 15th century sailor are simply incredible. There's no question that the writers really did their homework researching the songs, sayings and slurs of pirates from back in the day. Besides the folklore and the magic storyline, Pirates is nothing short of a fun great story. Thoroughly suggested to everyone, although see the first two movies first, otherwise you'll be slightly lost in the plot...
