Perfect Stranger, 2007

Almost good, almost bad...but it veers toward bad. Plot devices occur for almost no reason (the text message, Ribisi's 'room', etc) and charcters do things without any motivation (even after the unnecessary plot twist is revealed, a second viewing will reveal that most of the character's motivations are nil). It's a pretty, sheen of a film that isn't bad enough to dislike. The problems all seem to be screenplay problems, although if the screenplay were this problematic why did all these people sign on for the film?
