Josie Bissett (MELROSE PLACE) stars in this Umberto Lenzi sexploitation movie as Daniela Foster, the unwitting victim of a deranged maniac. When Daniela accepts a ride from a young man named Mark Glazer, she soon finds herself handcuffed in the back of his RV, where Mark has raped and killed a number of other young women. Driven by his sexual desire for his dead mother, Mark may have found his perfect foil in Daniela, who is a dead ringer for mom. Sleazy and heavy on the gore and nudity, HITCHER IN THE DARK is vintage Lenzi.
