Profile of Passion of Mind
The mood of Passion of Mind is contemplative, atmospheric, and mind bending. The plot centers around a losing-it hero, a single parent, and themes of unfulfillment. It is a drama, independent, and romance movie. Stylistically, Passion of Mind involves twists and turns. In approach, it is serious. It takes place, at least partly, in a small town. Passion of Mind is set in France and New York. It happens in the 1990s. It is especially suggested for a date night. Note that Passion of Mind includes sexual content.
Summary of Passion of Mind
Moore plays two women in this psychological drama from acclaimed director Berliner (MA VIE EN ROSE). Marie is a solemn American widow living in the south of France with her two daughters. In her dreams, she creates a gloriously magnificent world for herself. Marty is a confident New York City woman who dreams of moving to Provence. As the film unfolds, the question emerges: are Marie and Marty in fact the same woman? Are they distinct individuals? PASSION OF MIND confronts serious issues about identity with a highly original twist.
