Unique in every aspect.
Party Monster is, without a doubt, one of my favorite movies. The 1980's rave scene is explored and rennovated by Michael Alig (Macaulay Culkin). While a little depressing, Party Monster is a look into Alig's life, and how he made his debut as a Club Kid. With the help of James St. James (Seth Green), Michael Alig rises to the top as one of the most well-known party-throwers of all time.
And what's really twisted is that the entire movie is factual. The disturbing, yet easily likable Michael is a reflection of the real Michael Alig.
With topics such as sexual identity, drug addiction, partying, crime and murder, Party Monster is a unique, mildly disturbing film filled with comedy.
