Owning Mahowny, 2003

Seymour Hoffman is again at is best. His portrail of his character's gambling addiction is not overplayed nor sublime. The only story points lacking in this character driven movie that I assume is based on actual events is how his character was able to embezel such large sums of money to sustain his addiction. More depth into this area of film may have made it more compelling by digging deeper into Hoffman's generally underplayed inner conscious.
