ONDINE: A gem of a movie starring Colin Farrell, Alicia Bachleda as Ondine, the wonderful sexy beautiful nymph pulled from the sea in Colin Farrells fishing nets. Colin Farrells daughter is played by Alison Berry, who absolutely comes very close to stealing the movie. she is just fantastic. If this film were a fruit it would be a honey dipped, chocolate covered strawberry topped with the sweetest powdered sugar. I give this movie the highest recommendation. I will certainly be viewing this movie several times. It is just that great, Just that fantastic. What a wonderful script. 5 STARS.

Just beautiful, worth watching.
The minute the film began I could tell from the cinemantographic feel of it that the director wanted an honest and heartfelt story and it indeed was just that. I watched this film thinking was it a fantasy and it keeps you guessing as you watch, I like how it has that fantasy feel but there is a reality and when it comes to its climax your not disappointed, your just as intrigued.

I liked this movie, Colin Farrell was wonderful, but it should not be classified as fantasy. That is very misleading and l could understand how some people could get upset and even feel tricked into watching it. I know that seems like a spoiler but...

Cute…
I liked Ondine. It was sincere and a bit gloomy. It was talking about real people although it involves mermaid, and that kind of thing, requires some thought.

Intimate yet flawed
Ondine is initially an intimate piece. A fairytale like film about falling in love and relationships, those between lovers and those between parents and children. Yet, it is flawed: Story-wise it turns into a thriller near the end, something that feels completely unneeded. The second thing is Collin Farrell. I just don't like the guy. At least we get him in home environment and not trying over-the-top to be something he is not I some big Hollywood flick.
