I thought this movie was going to be like watching the Thomas Crown Affair 11 times. I almost got it right: it was like watching the Thomas Crown Affair at one-eleventh speed. I didn't care for that movie either. The problem with this movie is the same problem as with most heist movies: the threat of danger is either nonexistent or impossible to take seriously. The director should have either made me feel the characters were threatened or at least, as a last resort, try to make me laugh.

I'm surprised by the critical praise of this movie to be honest. It's good, it amused me, but it wasn't memorable. As far as entertainment, it's far better than the original, however it's hard to compare them since the original was more of a party...

I'm surprised by the critical praise of this movie to be honest. It's good, it amused me, but it wasn't memorable. As far as entertainment, it's far better than the original, however it's hard to compare them since the original was more of a party for the Rat Pack, and this remake is more a showpiece for Clooney. For me, this remake lacks a 'cool' factor, if you'll allow me the use of that word. Clooney doesn't carry the movie for me, and I find him too polished to be Ocean - I'd have preferred Brad Pitt almost. It moves with a decent pace, throws in a few humorous characters and scenes, and won't leave you bored. I'll call it your cookie cut feel good comedy crime buddy movie.

Enjoyable enough lil crime caper. The cast pretty much coast in familiar roles, but having them all together in one film is quite fun.

The cast is more interesting than the film and it's basically not my cup of tea, but it's good for passing the time I guess.

A classic Vegas film that's got it all: gambling, crime, scams. Mind games, beautiful people and a con-artist mastermind who's about to do the job of a lifetime. For his planned robbery of three casinos, he gathers his entire old gang (and then some). There are many challenges - including that he's in love with his rival's girlfriend. And don't forget the great Vegas music in the background. Recommended for anyone in the mood for a light, witty movie.
