Neil Young - Heart of Gold, 2006

I've seen lots of concert movies but none come close to this. Expertly recorded and mixed, the sound quality is impeccable. There are emotional moments when Neil looks over at his wife Pegi and smiles. Songs like "Old Man," "Heart Of Gold," and "Harvest Moon," have a mythical quality. They're over 30 years old but could've been written yesterday. The level of musicianship on that stage is untouchable. These guys, or friends as Neil calls them, are seasoned pros. They play with what seems zero effort. That's when you know someone is good, they make it look easy. Neil makes this looks like anyone can do it. But Neil Young is a one of kind. Neil Young is a legend and these songs prove it.
