Forgetting the screenplay, forgetting the acting and pretty much focusing on this movie for its ending, what a piece of trash. The writer gives one of the actors a short monologue where she condones the wonton act of killing for revenge and states...
Pedophilia. Murder. Pedophilia and murder. Gee...what a nice group of people. Even the good guy has issues in this movie! Not one empathetic character in the entire flick.
Mystic River
A solid crime drama examining friendship and the notion of justified revenge. Eastwood is a master at unraveling a story which keeps you engaged while continually challenging your assumptions.
Kudos to Eastwood!
Together with "Million Dollar baby", this film proves without a doubt that Clint Eastwood is a great director. I was very surprised to find out that he also wrote the music! Sean Penn's acting is majestic, just like the king that he is in his role....
