Wow, what a cast first off, it's like a who's who of actors at that time. Unfortunately everyone except Albert Finney play very minor roles, each only given a short scene during their introduction and another later for their interrogation. Based on the book of course by Christie, the movie really plays like a book in that there is lots and lots of dialogue and very little visual action or scenery. Someone is murdered and the task has been given to Poirot to solve the case. Finney is amazing as Poirot, in fact it took me about 20 minutes to even recognize him, and he plays his role beautifully. The movie moves relatively slowly and as said, contains a lot of dialogue. If you're expecting any action, tension, thrills or any of that, you need to look elsewhere. In the end, I liked the characters but really wished there had been more buildup to the murder and more tension in the investigation. As it is, it plays fairly straightforward and is okay, but nothing I'd watch again unfortunately.

I can never say no to a good who-dunnit film
This is simply the best movie version of an already great book. Many stars in one movie as well. If you like Agatha Christie, you will love this.
