Just Odd
Hard to explain my reaction to this movie... it wasn't bad, and it certainly had all the elements of a fun Mission Impossible movie (music, scenery, camera work, fight scenes) but somehow I found myself getting a bit left behind by it. It started off strong in my opinion, with good momentum... but I must say I thought it got really slow and eventually went nowhere. I also found myself asking 'does nobody else find this extremely cheesy?' at several parts, and I don't mean formulaic. I love the Lethal Weapon type films, so I can get behind a tongue-in-cheek cheesy film as long as it knows it's doing it... I found MI4 came across as sickly sweet towards the end and really strangely clichéd, but not in a fun way. It was more like they were just cutting & pasting from the Big Book of Happy Ending Films.
Disappointing as I was really looking forward to a good old fashioned action movie - I might watch it again and see if I have the same reaction.

I recent saw this movie with my son in law Ariel, It is an amazing movie, hope Tom Cruise will continue to make this kind of movies.

JJ knows how to do it.
He does. It's less cliche and more 'down to earth' now.
I love it!
But sadly, I can see now that Tom doesn't have much years left in him. Which makes me realize I'm getting old. =(
So,we are gotten over from John Woo thru JJ Abrams.

less is more. Actions are simple yet effective. No more big bangs and flying dual gun shootings of the past please. Oh, don't forget to take away the doves.

Fast Paced Action
So we are familiar with the formula, we know Tom Cruise is going to do something completely unrealistic even for a super agent, nonetheless it's still a good movie. This movie gives you what you pay for, non-stop action and thrills, car chases and a hero who saves the world at the last possible second. The director deserves credit for taking what sounds like a generic Hollywood action movie and making it into an enjoyable experience for the senses. Good job!

Mi4 keeps your adrenaline going all the time, never resting for a minute, keeping you thrilled with amazing stunts and great action sequences.
Some of the action is truly magnificent, and without a dull moment, almost from the start 'til the end...

Best of the series
Not very original plot wise, but some very exciting escapades including climbing the world's tallest building and a chases through a sand storm. A great film for a boys' night.
