Not what it claims to be
Even though it claims to be about a very acute political issue, "Miral" is actually an emotional drama that tells about its characters and does not say much beyond that. It's good, but it's not what it claims to be.

Over simplification
"Miral" tries to show a highly complicated situation from a personal and specific angle. By doing so, however, they had hard time really dealing with many of the aspects that revolve around this issue and missed a good opportunity to discuss it.
