Im sure Im not in the minority (pun, what pun?) in saying this was a rather stupid film. Good parts: personalized billboards, concept. bad: everything else. Cliché, random explication by characters, unrealistic reactions to situations. (Tom Cruise escapes flying police, gets out of car on a vertical highway, kidnaps selectively catatonic psychic. Seen it all before in the first Matrix). There is a reference to a much better sci-fi, Clockwork Orange, in the scene where he gives some coins to the beggar. Watched Children of Men on the same night, which is a great film, so maybe I had unrealistic expectations.

I don't think that this movie really stinked or that it was a work of genious. I mean, it looks good, from the future precrime precinct to the futuristic lexus cars that take you from your home to work.
I saw it in the theatre before I watched it...

I don't think that this movie really stinked or that it was a work of genious. I mean, it looks good, from the future precrime precinct to the futuristic lexus cars that take you from your home to work.
I saw it in the theatre before I watched it on DVD, and when I saw it for the second time, it wasn't as grabbing for me.
With this movie, I think it makes you think "yeah, this type of future could be possible in some sort of way" but the ending had me scratching my head.
If you think about it, if something like precrime was real, how could it EVER be proven wrong.
Precrime is kind of like time travel. Thinking about the implications of humans affecting the past and/or knowing about future events will screw with your head.

Well i wonder why member's have given such low reviews.I really liked the movie and was enchanted by every twist and turn the plot took. Tom Cruise is a versatile actor and this movie proves his versatatlity.

Excellent movie!
I loved the way this film was done. Very stylish and suspensful, and also very good acting. The way the futuristic world is presented is impressive. The thought and imagination put into this makes it special.
