Nothing fancy, I kept thinking that this would be Smokin' Aces without the over-saturated Tony Scott meets Quentin Tarantino flair for the whatever. The plot twist at the end didn't necessarily hit home as much as I think they were hoping for, but honestly it didn't really matter that much. The rest of the plot held up solidly, and the dialogue was pretty damn good.
I keep seeing movies where I can't help but think writers are trying to write dialogue like Tarantino, but this is the only film I can think of that doesn't fall flat on it's face doing it.

If you actually like crime movies and thrillers do not do this, don't watch the Lucky # Slevin. You'll be greatly disappointed, wanting to stop watching it along the entire movie. Cast is bad. They're acting poor, I haven't ever seen yet that...

Overall this looks like classic Guy Ritchie crime comedy without jokes. You'll like it if you are 13 or younger though. In case if you are elder go watch something more serious.

Sit back and enjoy. Terrific performances by the cast all around and an intriguing story. It sets itself up nicely and as you follow along you can suspend belief for a second, it feels a bit unbelievable at times. But that is not a bad thing. It's a stunning thriller/mystery with a noir feel to it, and Hartnett gives an excellent performance.

Lucky # Slevin is very good. Everything is nice and slick looking, and the cinematography is hip. The acting is great all around, not a single misstep. Most importantly though, I found that the violence was not as pointless as it has been in other mob action movies. It all has a purpose here, and that is really what pushes it further. During the first part of the movie, I was intrigued, but not overwhelmed. However, midway the business really picked up, and by the end, I was loving it. Slevin is worth the ride, because if you make it to the end, the payoff is amazing. While the title may turn some people away in confusion, you'll be able to get past it as soon as you start watching. Really well done.

I saw the title all over. Just couldn't get past the word slevin which was the one key factor I wouldn't watch it.
One day with nothing else to watch I started it. 10 minutes in they had me. The style of this movie won't sit well with many...

I saw the title all over. Just couldn't get past the word slevin which was the one key factor I wouldn't watch it.
One day with nothing else to watch I started it. 10 minutes in they had me. The style of this movie won't sit well with many people but it got me. Loved the decor in that it seemed to depict another place or time or did it?
This is one of those movies that I suggest to people who think they have seen all of the good movies and don't have anything to watch. It's a nice sleeper of a surprise!
