A racy potpourrie of a movie about greedy guys, stolen weed and antique guns. Guy Ritchie excels in delivering loads of laughs in a tightly packaged plot (which admittedly is a bit stretched, but hey, who cares!). Tarantino fans would love this one...

Paid the cost to be the boss
This film has it all. It's eyes wide open until it's finished, and even then, you still can't blink for a while. Mr. Ritchie's best work for sure, Jason Statham's role too. It's damn stylish and smooth, it has loads of witty catchphrases, it's clever, original, and on the top, it has one of the best soundtracks the movie world has ever seen (including title-mentioned kick-ass James Brown hit). And, as if mentioned isn't enough, there's more. Winnie Jones and Sting appear in this film, and they're damn cool.
So, ladies and gentleman, I dare to say, I you haven't watched Two smoking barrels by now, you haven't watched movies yet.

Hard to rate. Not a fun watch at all, you feel dirty seeing so many guys drop. It's on par with Reservoir Dogs, as far as how many people die, and how they die. It's funny to see the various gangs of bumbling criminals fail, and turn on each other....

Hard to rate. Not a fun watch at all, you feel dirty seeing so many guys drop. It's on par with Reservoir Dogs, as far as how many people die, and how they die. It's funny to see the various gangs of bumbling criminals fail, and turn on each other. However, the movie definitely takes too long to ramp up to it's height. It gets really good near the end, which is a shame, because just when you've become really happy with the movie, they pull the "Open to interpretation" ending out on you. And after nearly two hours, does ANYONE want an open ending with no resolution? I don't think so, and nothing makes me madder. It's a COP out, and a lame way to generate cult buzz.

A matter of taste
personally, I didn't connect well with this film's style. I can't really put my finger on what exactly it was that I didn't like, I guess it just wasn't interesting enough and not as funny as it supposed to be.

Very entertaining film!
This movie is very fun to watch, and not just because it's funny. It's also very cool and stylish, and I couldn't help loving it. No doubt Guy Ritchie showing his talent.
