Summary of Lightning Bug
Directed by special effects and make-up artist Robert Hall, LIGHTNING BUG is drawn from his personal experiences. Green Graves (Bret Harrison) loves horror films and has taught himself how to create lifelike gore effects with the hopes of moving to Hollywood when he comes of age. Until then, however, he is stuck living in the rural Southern town he grew up in, where many of the townsfolk label him a weirdo for his unusual hobby. But his life takes a turn when he meets and falls in love with Angevin (Laura Prepon, THAT '70S SHOW), and becomes torn between following his dream or staying behind with her. LIGHTNING BUG balances dramatic tension with comedic scenes in telling a tale of passion for the movies.
