Summary of Light of My Eyes

When not transporting wealthy passengers in his luxury cab, Antonio buries his nose in one science fiction novel after another. Unfortunately his bond with the characters in the books surpasses any actual human connection in his life. This remains the case until he meets a woman named Maria and her daughter Lisa. Even when Antonio learns about Maria's troubles, he stays with her, intent on becoming a permanent part of her life. Set in Rome, Light of My Eyes presents a somber look at the lengths people will go to escape the trap of loneliness and isolation.
