This is my first musical ever, i thought i dont enjoy it but after i red the book i wanted to see it.
perfect and strong acting not for pepole that not like musicals and part of the story are missing since it difficult to enter all the story in 2...

i realy enjoy this musical.

Ghastly and sad attempt to get awards
Horrid! What a cinematic abomination! Oh, you decided to hire ill-equipped mediocre actors hissing out awful renditions of a classic?
The first hour is uncomfortable, the rest is painful and un-easing. You'll be left thinking 'why weren't any...

Horrid! What a cinematic abomination! Oh, you decided to hire ill-equipped mediocre actors hissing out awful renditions of a classic?
The first hour is uncomfortable, the rest is painful and un-easing. You'll be left thinking 'why weren't any talented singers or actors hired?'
Not good enough for stage sure as hell not good enough to be on film! If you insist on a 2 and a half hour long and painful viewing, it's a DVD film.

Unfortunately, cannot say the same about the les mise.
production is absolutely top notch. however, it makes you wish you can pay 100 dollars or more(far more if it has to) to the broadway musical of the same cast.
FILM ADAPTATION OF THIS MUSICAL SIMPLY DOES NOT WORK. (it never worked before, why do they think this time will be any different?)
it's forced, awkward, and i do not believe actors believe this movie either.
Actors perform rather brilliantly, especially jackman and hathaway. but that does not make it a good movie.
Direction: 8
Acting: 7
Casting: 8
Story: 8
editing: 9
costumes: 10
but overall, it's 6.8 in my book because the movie simply does not work. despite having a great performances and production. maybe better being left at the hand of live performance stage.
would i watch this in the theater? Yes.
Would i buy/rent dvd? Buy bluray.
I would rather own this movie for my collection than download or vod.

A brilliant film
This bittersweet drama was beautiful and powerful in so many ways. The acting is amazing and the songs fit the mood of the film perfectly. An unforgettable experience that you don't want to miss out on!

WOW
The cinematography, costumes, art design and editing are phenomenal! The musical was great and the movie is a masterpiece. ALOT OF SINGING! I recommend this, even if you don't like musicals.
