Summary of The Last Ride
30 years ago, Ronnie Purcell (Dennis Hopper) was arrested for armed robbery following a chase which resulted in the death of his wife. Now that he's released, all he wants is revenge on the cop who sent him to jail--Daryll Kurtz (Fred Ward). Kurtz also took custody of Ronnie's young son, Aaron (Will Patton), when Ronnie went to jail. Aaron is now a cop too, and he wants nothing to do with his ex-con dad. But Aaron has teenage son, Matthew (Chris Carmack), who is fascinated by his grandfather's criminal past, and volunteers to help him find Kurtz. Produced and co-written by Rob Cohen (THE FAST & THE FURIOUS), THE LAST RIDE is a high-powered television production which features not only a handful of thrilling car chases, but also a trio of seasoned screen veterans--Hopper, Ward, and Patton--in solid performances.
