One of the best sequels ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I loved Kill Bill 1 and the 2nd. This was such a good follow up I couldn't believe it. The Bride rules.

I hated volume one. I thought it was silly and lazy. I'd waited for a new Tarantino movie since Jackie Brown and I was sorely disappointed in what I felt was a half hearted attempt. Volume 2 is everything that the first wasn't. As a matter of fact...

I hated volume one. I thought it was silly and lazy. I'd waited for a new Tarantino movie since Jackie Brown and I was sorely disappointed in what I felt was a half hearted attempt. Volume 2 is everything that the first wasn't. As a matter of fact vol. one should have been edited into (read: massive edits) vol. 2 and released as Kill Bill...not vol. 1 or 2. This is a creative and facinating movie. The places it takes you are incredible and unexpected. I'm not sure if I'll add the first to my dvd library, but the second will be there.

In Vol 2 we finally get to see Bill and we learn more about the relationship between the three final opponents of The Bride and The Bride Herself.
THe relationship that was very weird was the one between The Bride (I'd just say her name, but I guess some people care to keep that. It's a silly name anyway) and Bill. VERY weird, especially when they meet again.
There is some staleness in there, which I will admit. Budd's whole scene at his post-assasin job is a useless scene that bored me. The rest of the movie is very enjoyable. But I will stress again that it's WIERD. A nutty, enjoyable movie.

the first one was a samurai film, this is more of a western
i can't really decide which of the movies i like more. kill bill 1 was faster, bloodier - and it was first. kill bill 2 is slower. the tarantino dialogue that was missing in the nonverbal first installment appears, yet there are still plenty of breathtaking fight scenes. and the end is quite emotional. i love both movies and there is that certain tarantino coolness and humor that makes you sit with your mouth open during the entire movie, for one of two reasons: 1.you are laughing. 2.you are amazed. there aren't many directors whose movies i can be sure i'm going to love and who are always worth the money. tarantino is a safe bet. i would even buy the ticket at double price if i had to because i know - if it's tarantino it's great!
