Not a good film but enough to keep you interested and wanting to see the next scene. This movie gets a little crazy so if you don't want to see a kid get smacked around by his parent or a father hating his own child or a kid trying to destroy his own family then don't see this. The ending was not liked by many but I tell you what, I enjoyed it and it gave me chills. So while is was not as good as the Omen remake it was interesting and seeing Sam Rockwell act as the dad losing it all was worth a one-time viewing.

I haven't been this scared, jittery, or uncomfortable during a film in just about forever. I am trying to remember the last time a film was so affecting to me, and I cannot. 'Joshua' tells the story of sibling rivalry taken to a murderous degree; young Joshua is a pretty ordinary kid--which is part of what makes him so terrifying. Sam Rockwell as the beleaguered father and Vera Farmiga as the put-upon mother are both priceless: their love is concrete, as is their horror and shock. The film has also been amazingly shot. It's colors are warm but dark and vaguely fuzzy, lending a real-yet-dreamlike quality to the real-yet-dreamlike terror.
