Summary of It's Not Me I Swear!
Written and directed by Philippe Falardeau and based on a novel by children's novelist Bruno Hebert, the French-Canadian film IT’S NOT ME I SWEAR! plays like a darker, more twisted version of HOME ALONE. Set in late-1960s Montreal, the coming-of-age dramedy follows the subversive antics of a precocious but troubled 10-year-old boy, Leon (Antoine L’Ecuyer), who responds to his parents’ impending divorce by setting fire to their bed, staging phony suicide attempts, and trashing the neighbors’ home.
