This movie is simply ok, but not something you'd watch multiple times (unless you like Jessica Biel like I do). But for me, it wasn't all too funny. Many of the situations and lines were so predictible or just too staged that it doesn't feel funny....

This movie is simply ok, but not something you'd watch multiple times (unless you like Jessica Biel like I do). But for me, it wasn't all too funny. Many of the situations and lines were so predictible or just too staged that it doesn't feel funny. Unlike something like Billy Madison where it's just straight up stupid humor, which I found funny, this tries to be something of a more slick comedy but it isn't. On the whole, pretty unoriginal and relatively forgetable.

If you know or have friends that are gay, you will see how cliché and stereotyped the humor in this movie is, and spend more time rolling your eyes and groaning then anything else. If you do not know or have any gay friends, and are easily amused by the cliché stereotypes, you might find this movie amusing. I didn't get a migraine watching it, but would not watch it again. Character humor was forced and not very believable, just as its impossible to imagine Adam Sandler as irresistible to all things woman.

I enjoy both Adam Sandler and Kevin James and really laughed hard the first 45 min. but then the usual comedy cliches take over it takes itself too seriously at times. I still enjoyed the film more than I thought I would and it's a TBS Sunday...

Some hated this movie but if you enjoy the work of both actors then you will find yourself laughing at this comedy

At times this movie is hilarious, a "Happy Gilmore" level of humor. At its worst though, Chuck and Larry is so silly it is stupid. The problem is that they tried so hard to make this commercialized - and PG-13 - that they ruined it. I know Adam...

I know Adam Sandler knows what is funny, and how to make a funny movie, I just feel like the writers were pressured to dumb this film down to get the rating. It's a shame, but I still had a pretty good time watching it. The funniest stuff usually didn't come from Kevin James or Sandler, which surprised me. Rob Schneider was actually the funniest of them all, in his short but sweet scenes. All in all, this is not the best Sandler film you will see, but it has its moments. Not a classic by any means - just the usual (and slightly tired) Adam Sandler humor you'd expect.

Sure, at first Sandler's character actually uses the most profane gay insults possible, and it is a bit uncomfortable, but we quickly see that these gay slurs are being made by a BIGOT. See, when a bigot makes a gay joke, as an intelligent audience we should understand that the filmmakers are saying GAY JOKES ARE BAD. Even in comedies, we should be able to think enough to see plain truths like that. Now: it isn't a hilarious movie. It is far from Sandler's best. But it isn't UNfunny. I did laugh. I'd watch it again.
