Summary of Hong ying tao
In the earliest days of World War II, two Mainland Chinese schoolchildren, the children of Communists executed by Sun Yat-Sen's Nationalist Army, are spirited away and sequestered in a Russian boarding school for safety purposes. But when the German army invades Moscow, they are plunged into further atrocities at the hands of the Third Reich. A box-office smash in China, and the first film permitted by the Chinese censors to depict graphic violence and nudity. Based on a horrifying true story. Guo Ke-Yu won the Best Actress award at the Shanghai Film Festival.
